The Starrett FMS500 - FMS5000 test frames are accurate, easy to use and ideal for high-volume, repetitive spring testing applications. The single column frames are available in 500N, 1000N, 2500N and 5000N testing capacities.
These are are ideal for tensile testing, compressive testing and spring testing including measuring rate, spring constant and compression.
This tensile strength machine opperates with Starrett's L2 Force Measurement Software;
S2 Spring Testing Software- entry level for basic force measurement ideal for lean manufacturing environments.
L2 Plus Force Analysis Software- designed for advanced force measurement and analysis and optimised for quality and engineering personnel.
Both of these systems are in turn suitable for precisely determining spring rates, spring constants, spring lengths and other spring characteristics.
Also compatible with the L3 System, however; for optimal operation we suggest the MMS and MMD test frames are instead used with this software. The L3 System meets the materials testing requirements of today's research scientist, design engineer and quality manager responsible for material characterisation, verification and validation.
