Handheld 3D profiler for measuring surface finish
The Alicona IF-Profiler is an optical measurement system designed to be taken to the object that requires measurement and is based on the focus variation technique. The Alicona IF-Profiler is a handheld device for performing profile-based (ISO 4287) and areal-based (ISO 25178) roughness measurements in 3D.
This profilometer offers high resolution optical measurements of surface finish, identifying the smallest irregularities to enhance the production process. Combined in one easy-to-use system, users can measure both curved and flat surfaces and components.
As a portable instrument it can be taken around the workshop to measure surface finish of surface defects such as Dings and/or corrosion. The ergonomic design of the Alicona IF-Profiler combines ease of use with mechanical rigidity, an essential component of any handheld 3D profiler. The high-quality 3D measurement sensor and robust framework ensure traceable and repeatable measurements are achieved in a minimum of three seconds.
