Remote visual inspection is a term used to broadly define instruments designed for the inspection of any area where direct view is prohibited. Industrial borescopes, endoscopes and videoscopes are often the tools of choice for internal component inspection, offering exceptional optical and video results even in challenging environments.

Often used in applications such as aerospace engineering and automotive, industrial borescopes, endoscopes and videoscopes are an essential part of the testing and inspection process. They allow users to see into hard-to-reach areas including bores, cylinders and turbines, ensuring reliable inspection of all components. Industrial endoscopes and borescopes have been used for cross drill hole burr detection and inspection, orbital weld pipe inspection, tube inspection, engine inspection and airframe inspection amongst other specialist applications.

Borescope cameras are most often rigid in design allowing them to withstand harsh conditions, while endoscope cameras are often more often flexible, making them more appropriate for reaching extremities within complex environments. Industrial endoscope cameras, due to their flexibility, have some of the smallest diameters for remote visual inspection, with our smallest fibrescope variation measuring just 0.35mm in diameter.

Delivering exceptional optical results, our industrial borescope, endoscope and videoscope cameras from Hawkeye and Optivu are an essential part of your metrology toolbox.
